DaXueYing*YOU*, is a way to view and share the most popular blogs, news, pictures, videos and other English content about China. All content is both submitted and voted on by our users; i.e. Submitted by you, voted on by you.

Whatever your reasons, if you want more exposure for China-related content you deem to be worhty, please, by all means, feel free to submit it here. There are two main areas of the website:
1. Published; content that has received sufficient votes will be promoted to the front page.
2. Unpublished; all submitted content if first added here.

In order to do any of this you first need to join. Some users prefer not to participate, instead remaining in the shadows, viweing content and comments. If this is your style, that's cool - everyone is welcome here whether you are a community member or not. We do hope though, that you will not only take, but also give to the community. You can give by helping worthy content get promoted to the front page, commenting on submitted content and inviting more members to join. This community gives you power, and without you it cannot exist.

If you do decide to join, you will need to create an account here. Once you have done that you are free to participate by submitting, commenting on and voting for content.

To view submitted content you can click on the url below the content's title. This will open a new window where you will be directed to another website. To view comments, see who voted for a story, or to submit comments of your own, click on the title of the submitted content.

To submit content you first need to click 'Submit a new story' then enter the url. If you do not have a url, because you are simply submitting something you wrote but never placed online such as your thoughts, a poem, a song, or whatever it is, then simply leave the url field blank and click continue.

Next you will be asked to provide some more informtaion about the content you are submitting.
1. Story title: This is perhaps the most important information as it is often the only thing users will look at before deciding whether to investigate further. Try to make it descriptive and appealing.
2. Tags: The most relevant tags or keywords of your content should be placed here, seperated by ',' (comma)
3. Description: Here you can write a short description of your content. Try to be both informative and succinct.
4. Category: This is also of extreme importance. Chose the most appropriate category for your content as users will often ignore misplaced content if they browse by category.
Finally you can submit your story. You will have one more chance to check for inaccuracies on the following page. Assuming all the information is accurate you can then submit it. If not, you can go back and modify accordingly.

That's all there is to it. To vote for stories, simply click on the vote icon on the left of the corresponding story. To comment, click on discuss.
